Hi! I'm Travis, a graduate student in the Department of Psychology at McGill University.

I study intergroup relations, with a particular interest in prejudice and diversity. Examples of questions that I'm currently investigating include: How can we improve the effectiveness of intergroup contact? How is the environment related to prejudice? To answer these questions, I adopt a multi-method approach where I integrate big data and geospatial analyses with traditional psychological techniques in order to understand the true nature of prejudice and identify how intergroup biases can be reduced.

Prior to McGill, I received my BSocSci (Hons) and MSocSci in Psychology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). At NUS, I won the Graduate Students' Teaching Award for three consecutive semesters. In recognition of my teaching abilities, I was placed on the Honour Roll

When I'm not chasing Open Science Badges, you can find me spending my free time planning (my next trip), preparing (a stand-up routine), and playing (strategy games). Feel free to reach out for more information or a conversation :)
